Is an unforgettable experience

Everyone who met Dashrath had that feeling about him

Is about learning

Whoever met Dashrath learnt something from him

Is about fundamentals

In the simplest words , he could explain every ‘ism’, every ‘attribute’ of art

Is about your classmates

Raza at Ecole Beaux Arts Paris
Husain, Tyeb Mehta and Nasreen at Bhulabhai Desai Institute
Robert Rauschenburg, John Cage, Merce Cunningham, in holidays

Is about inspiring teachers

Debi Prasad Roy taught him ‘robust’ art in the formative period
Harendranath Chattopadhyaya revealed the poetry in art
Henri Cartier Bresson trained him into the art of seeing in anticipation

School is also about sports

He was a cricketer who chose art over cricket it because it had a longer career span

Is fun

It was always fun to be with him

Is about gangs

Dashrath made several gangs many that eventually befriended each other

Is about first love

Chandralekha the enigmatic dancer was his first love

Is about exchange trips

Finally, school Is about the best days of your life and those that I spent with him are really the best days of my life.
