About Manjari Chakravarti
Graduated from Kala Bhavan Santiniketan in Printmaking in 1990. Over the years, she has experimented with various concepts and mediums with text and image as a central axis . Manjari’s works now have to do with her expressions as a writer, an artist and an illustrator and author of picturebooks primarily meant for younger readers and much older ones as well. She is involved mostly with the art of bookmaking in its various forms.
She has showcased her work in solo shows at Ganges Art, Kolkata 2019, Galerie Beatrice Binoche, Saint-Denis, France, 2011 “Ecriture III and a few other things” Akar Prakar, Kolkata 2010, “Ecriture II,” Art Alive Gallery, New Delhi. 2008, “Écriture”, Gandhara Art Gallery, Kolkata 2007 • Galerie 88, Calcutta 1999 • Art Heritage, New Delhi, 1994
