Sayatya and Friends perform at the Closing Day Event at Emami Art for the three solos by Ruma Choudhury, Soma Das, and Kushal Ray. On 18 September 2026, from 6:30 pm, Sayatya and Diptangshu perform a 45 minute set as a duo in the gallery, songs about the city and the ordinary hours of living in it, on the last evening the exhibitions are open. Open to all.

On the closing evening of the three solo exhibitions by Ruma Choudhury, Soma Das, and Kushal Ray, Sayatya and Diptangshu come together for a 45-minute live set in the gallery.
Their music turns towards the city and its ordinary hours — songs about moving through Kolkata, its streets and rhythms, and the small, everyday experiences that shape life within it.
The performance marks the final evening of the exhibitions and will take place in the gallery among the works on view.
About the performers: Sayatya and Friends is a Kolkata based collective of songwriters and musicians working mostly in Bangla. Their releases include the albums Ek (2023) and Dui (2025), the compilation Duto Mishti Kotha: Songs of Arunendu Das (2022), and singles including Priyo Janalay, Yuri Gagarin and Sarkari Astra. At Emami Art they perform as a duo, Sayatya with Diptangshu.
