Emami Art recently concluded Field Notes (On the Afterlife of Trees), the debut solo exhibition by artist Vishal Kumar Gupta. Following the successful reception of the exhibition, we invite you to a special hands-on workshop by the artists as an extended program of the show.

The workshop begins with a presentation by Vishal Kumar Gupta, introducing approaches to landscape construction, composition, and materiality. Participants will then engage in outdoor sketching to study structure, light, and spatial depth directly from observation. The afternoon session transitions indoors, where selected sketches will be developed into expressive impasto paintings in acrylic, focusing on surface, texture, and painterly interpretation.
