Raja Boro, a printmaker born in Assam in 1994, holds a BFA from Kala Bhavana, Visva-Bharati, Santiniketan (2020) and an MVA from Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, Vadodara (2022) in Printmaking.
His most recent solo was Echoes of the Earth: A Woodcut Diary – Exhibition of Woodcut Prints by Raja Boro presented by India International Centre (IIC) and Ushaarth Art Foundation and curated by Shruti Lakhanpal Tandon, IIC, New Delhi (2026). He has participated in many group exhibitions in India and internationally including OPEN 30, HH Art Spaces, Goa (2026); An Ancient Ballad, Emami Art, Kolkata (2026); PURVAI: Printmaking in Eastern India - Pedagogy to Practice curated by Dr Paula Sengupta, Emami Art, Kolkata (2026); For the Time Being curated by Nikhil Chopra with HH Art Spaces at Kochi-Muziris Biennale, Kochi (2025-2026); Editions 2: A Display of 15th Century Technique, Chitramayee State Gallery of Art, Hyderabad (2025); Original Shadows, Art Incept, Gurugram (2025); Editions: Exhibition of Prints, Nine Fish Art Gallery, Mumbai (2023); Breaking the Mould, Anant Art Gallery, Noida (2022); Sille Mail Art Exhibition, Turkey (2020); and the 6th Tokyo International Mini-Print Triennial, Tama Art University, Tokyo (2018). His works have been presented by Emami Art, Kolkata at India Art Fair 2026.
Boro was a summer artist-in-residence at HH Art Spaces, Goa (2026); and participated in the Winter Residency, Space Studio Baroda (2024) and Ink and Ecology: Eco Stories for Sustainable Future, a workshop at Sara Centre, Karnataka (2022). He received the Varshita Young Artist Award 2026, Kalanand Emerging Artists Grant 2022-23, the 31st Ravi Jain Memorial Award 2022, and the Shrishti AIF Grant 2020.
He lives and works in Santiniketan, West Bengal.
