Sibaprasad Karchaudhuri

 Born in West Bengal in 1944, Siba Prasad Kar Chaudhuri graduated from graduation from Govt. College of Art & Craft, Kolkata (1966), studied design under Ms. Helena Parhintupa, a Scandinavian Designer at NID during 1968-69 and Graphic Art under Prof. Geoffrey Bowman at San Jose State University, California during 1984-85.

He has been the subject of several solo shows including Academy of Fine Arts, Kolkata (1968), Academy of Fine Arts, Kolkata (1973), San Jose State University, Gallery, California, USA (1985), Exhibition sponsored by by Art Age gallery at Ambro Bank, Kolkata (1993), Jehangir Art Gallery, Bombay (1998) and Tapestry, Drawing and Painting, Nandan, Kala Bhavan, Bolpur (2016)

His work has been featured is several group shows such as Four Artists Group Show, Sponsored by American University Centre (1974), Five Artists Group Show with Drawings at Academy of Fine Arts, Kolkata (1978), ‘Selected painters of Kolkata’, organized by TATA centre, Kolkata with M.F.Husain (1979), Sixth Bharat Bhavana Biennal of Contemporary Indian Art, Bhopal, M.P.
